Produced from 1955 to 1963, exclusively in the “Narrow Panel” format. While it shared the aesthetic with other Tweed amps of the era, its 5F10 circuit gave it a distinctive sonic personality that has made it a cult favorite, especially among vintage tone connoisseurs.
Originally conceived as an amp for students or small stages, the Harvard offered more power than the Champ or Princeton but was more manageable than the Deluxe. Its fame grew exponentially thanks to its association with legendary session guitarist Steve Cropper, who used a Harvard for a large part of his iconic recordings with Booker T. & The M.G.’s.
