About Our Replicas
At LHC, our passion is to recreate the magic of classic tube tone. With our new line of replicas, we’re taking fidelity to a new level. We don’t just aim to replicate circuits; we go far beyond, striving for an unparalleled sonic authenticity that can only be achieved through an obsession with every detail.
Our goal is simple: to put that coveted vintage sound within your reach. To do this, each amplifier is meticulously built using carefully selected New Old Stock (NOS) components, such as Omron tube sockets, original period-correct potentiometers (Clarostat, Centralab, or CTS—all Made in the USA), original Rola, Magnavox, or Jensen speakers from the ’50s and ’60s with their original cones, and NOS RCA tubes, among other components.
This isn’t just a replica; it’s a faithful recreation where every piece is chosen to capture the response and character of the most iconic amplifiers ever made.
replicas
Champ Tweed 5F1 1957
Historically one of the most popular models, produced between 1955 and 1962 with subtle but significant differences. We chose to replicate the 1957 model, the 5F1 circuit.
The earliest Champs (the first dating back to 1948) came with a 6″ speaker. Known for their “TV Front” aesthetic, they featured octal 6SJ7 preamp tubes.

Princeton Tweed 5F2A
The year chosen for this replica is 1957, the year the 5F2A was launched, which remained relatively consistent throughout its production.
Highly sought after for its warm tone, organic “breakup,” and its ability to record exceptionally well. Without a doubt, another icon of the “Tweed” era.

Our replica is built with meticulous attention to detail and features premium, period-correct components to deliver the legendary, warm, and dynamic sound that has defined generations of guitar players.

Harvard Tweed 5F6A 1958
A cult favorite among vintage tone connoisseurs, this amp stands out with its distinctive sonic personality.
Designed as the perfect middle ground (more powerful than a Champ or a Princeton but more manageable than a Deluxe), it gained legendary status thanks to its association with Steve Cropper’s iconic recordings.

Bassman Tweed 5F6A 1960
Few amplifiers can claim to have defined the sound of rock and roll, blues, and rockabilly. The Bassman 5F6-A is one of them. With this replica, we deliver the essence of that seminal tone, built with the fidelity and period-correct components for an authentic experience.
Born in the early 1950s, when Leo F. set out to create a robust and powerful amplifier to accompany his innovative Precision Bass, launched in 1951. Who would have thought it would end up being a cornerstone for guitarists.
